The venue: Claudine’s family lake in northern France, a secluded place with a friendly little house, some fishing gear and a great chimney. There are no neighbours either…

 

 

  

 

 

  How to get there: By car: the lake is easy to find at junction 13 of the Motorway A26- you never leave the motorway once you come out of the ferry in Calais. It takes 2 hours to get there and the cost is £8 one way (toll). The lake is on the D516 between Chambry and Athies. Click here for a map.
